I always say this to people. Have money problems, have car problems, have any kind of external problems but health is one things that we should not negotiate. It’s the one thing that comes unannounced and it has the ability to strip you down of all your “badges of honor.”

I really really loved this, it speaks truly to the human existence.

Beautifully put, I appreciate your kind words and am glad this resonated with you.

The more we embrace our humanity the better I believe society and the world as a whole will be.

Beautiful. Poignant. Insightful. So glad your mum is out and that you can appreciate all moments as a result of this. I liked the use of brittle. This really landed. Glad she's ok. And that you're integrating this experience to fully feel the extra in the ordinary of the fleeting moments of life that assimilate to become our experience. Each day truly is a lottery. Thank you for sharing.

Amazing “All it takes is one brittle moment for those concerns to scatter like ash in the wind” this hit like a ton of bricks❤️

Heya! It did resonate with me. You are right, we don't know the value f being healthy until we fall ill. This reminds me of my high school days where the first thing I've learnt was this sentence - Health is not everything but without health all the rest is nothing. We rarely stop to consider and appreciate this. Lovely piece and insightful, too.

So true, we overlook our health so easily not knowing how valuable it is.

I’m glad this resonated with and thank you for taking the time to read my words.

This is such a beautiful piece, and truly with every reminder that life is so fragile let it also remind you to live fully with gratitude.Life is fragile, life is meaningless, life is beautiful, life is all these things and more at once it’s scary to know it can be taken at any moment. I’m so glad I came across your article.

May Allah SWT grant your mother a speedy and complete recovery and protect her from all harm.

I loved this post. What a beautiful reminder about how fragile life is, and with the precision and complexity our internal mechanism works, every heart beat feels like a miracle. Indeed, it is Allah who sustains us for as long as He wills.

Thank you for saying that brother, I truly appreciate it. Your prayers mean a lot to me.
