i love this. i think for many people that feeling of being perpetually invalidated and in need of external praise roots in childhood. this never-ending drive to prove themselves worthy. i was once in that spot. sometimes i fall back into it. it feels safer, in a way. i wonder why that is?
anyway, self validation is the most liberating thing. once you can sit in a fire alone, you learn nothing can burn down your house without your permission.
I’m glad this resonated with you, also an interesting question.
I think because it was conditioned in a lot of us when we were younger, what feels familiar feels safe even if its detrimental to us. The nervous system is definitely at play with that.
Exactly! Once you realise only you hold the power, it feels freeing. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Its such an easy trap to fall into. That constant search for someone to show you, you matter. I've been working on building confidence and this really hit home for me. Thank you 😊
This was great! Thought provoking and really something I needed to read today. It’s got me thinking about self worth and not wanting (needing) to perform all the time. Thanks so much for sharing!
This is beautifully honest and deeply resonant. 💛 I love how you articulate the quiet struggle between outer validation and inner truth, the way applause and admiration can feel hollow compared to simply being known and aligned with oneself. Thank you for sharing this so openly, it feels like an invitation to breathe

Great response! I agree with that. Thank YOU for writing it!
God is a quiet abundance sometimes only revealed by raw, naked solitude. Beautiful text, my friend.
Thank you for your kind words brother.
We are social creatures afterall we chase validation in all aspects of life.
I needed to read something like that, thought provoking. Thank you for writing it
I’m glad this found you at the right time. I appreciate you taking the time to read it.
Beautifully written!
“Validation has taught us to chase aesthetics and hollow dreams, often void of meaning and purpose.”
“It was God who showed me that none is worthy of my performance but Him, and even then, He asks for no performance at all.”
Thank you so much!
I am truly grateful my words touched you.
Thank you for taking the time to read my words.

Thank you for your kind words. You give me the courage to continue and it’s people like yourselves I write for.
I’m glad my words found its rightful place.
This was very well-written. As a former people pleaser, I saw a lot of myself in this. Thank you. This was very well done.
Thank you so much Elliot, I am glad this resonated with you, I write for moments like these.
Of course!
Very true, thats why I write for authenticity and truth. To find the people that feel seen through my words.
